FEES & REFUNDS
Information about agreed fees and charges

Students seeking to enroll in a course with TOTT are informed of all fees and charges prior to enrolment.

Payment is made on enrolment through Stripe.

The information provided to each prospective student includes:

An all inclusive fee for the training and assessment of their chosen course.

Terms of payment.
-
Fees payable to the Department of Main Roads for the purpose of applying for a marine licence.

This information is provided on registration and in the tax invoice provided.

When students register for a course online via the Onboard Learning website they are required to pay the fees in full to access the online training portal.
-
Payment plans are not accepted by TOTT.
What do student fees cover?

Unless otherwise specified, course fees include the cost of all compulsory training and assessment. Where a corporate client requests additional training that is considered outside of the compulsory training and assessment a detailed quote outlining all aspects will be provided to the client.

All course fees include up to two (2) attempts at assessment for both the theory and performance elements. TOTT at is discretion will not charge a student for a third assessment attempt. Students requiring a fourth attempt will be required to undertake full training again at their own expense.

Where an additional training and assessment after the third attempt is required in order to achieve competency, TOTT will charge a flat fee of $100.

Application fees payable to the Department of Main Roads to obtain a marine indicator are not covered by course fees. These are a separate fee that must be paid by the student to the regulator, TOTT is not liable for licencing application fees.
Terms and methods of payment

All students will receive a confirmation email after their initial enquiry outlining course fees and payment requirements.

Corporate clients are required to provide a purchase order (PO) number on booking.

TOTT accepts the following methods of payment – Stripe.

At TOTTs discretion cash & direct bank transfer may be considered.
Issuance of Statements of Competency

TOTT will only release a Statement of Competency once a student has paid their agreed fees in full and demonstrated competency in both the theory and performance elements of the assessment.
Refunds

Students who have completed all training are not eligible for a refund.

Students who have completed all assessments regardless of outcome are not eligible for a refund.
-
TOTT will refund in full any fees paid by a student who wishes to cancel their course prior to commencing.

This request must be made in writing, TOTT will endeavour to refund the amount within 48 hours into the elected bank account of the student.

In the event a course is cancelled by TOTT the student will have the option to reschedule the course at a mutually suitable time or be entitled to a full refund.
